Java Post Production is proud to have worked on the well-loved Canadian sitcom Corner Gas for all 106 episodes. For six seasons Java Post did the Online Video Post Production. This included converting each episode from its lower-res "offline" form to its full-res HD "online" form. Using the HD footage, Jack would work with the DP and the Producers to colour-correct an episode, helping to achieve the desired overall feeling for each scene.
All visual effects were also done at Java Post. This included things like CG and live-action integration, shot stabilization, as well as countless subtle fixes that were essential to making a well-polished final show for broadcast. Corner Gas was filmed in Super 16mm, so this created many unique challenges to overcome.
Once an episode was complete, the final online audio from Talking Dog Studios was added to the sequence and all broadcast deliverables were made. These included captioned Digital-Betacam tapes as well as HDCAM tapes with Dolby-E encoded surround audio. Captioning was provided by Vertical Sync whose owner, Trevor Bennett, was the online editor on all 106 episodes.
