It's time for cake at Java Post Production! Friday afternoon we celebrated the birthdays of Maureen Bennett and Karen Plumb in our usual way: a delicious sugar coma!

As you can see below, we had our choice of either a sinful Salted Caramel Pretzel Cheesecake or a delicious Orange Angel Food Cake! And when we say "a choice of either," that's Java Post office code for "I'll have a slice of each, please!"

As is tradition at Java Post, the birthday honourees, Maureen (left) and Karen (right), do the slicing and serving.

That's the smile of someone eager for a treat. Or maybe the photographer just told her to smile. The expressions are very similar.

Meanwhile, left to right around the boardroom table, Doug and Jack discuss the relative merits of salted wheat-based snacks in confectionery products, while Trevor just quietly shovels it in. 

Karen and Maureen open their cards, no doubt to enjoy the tender and not-at-all-playfully-sarcastic-and-insulting remarks from their caring co-workers. Meanwhile, in the back of the room, our accountant Brent ponders the potential lost person-hours due to staff cake overdose.
