For the past few days, in the gravel parking lot across the street from Java Post Production, our boss, "Java Jack," spotted this gentleman sitting at an easel. Curious and interested, Jack went down to introduce himself to this mystery artist and - with his permission - take some photos of him while he practiced his art.

Turns out the gentleman was painting the Strathdee Building, in which the Java Post office is located, as well as the surrounded buildings on Dewdney Avenue.

Jack left his business card with the artist, but we never did get his name (hey, we're production experts, not investigative journalists). So we really hope he - or someone who knows him - will get in touch with us. He's quite a talented painter. We don't know much about art...but we know what we like.
