Recording Tourism VOs at Studio One with Jason Plumb.

Java Post Production V.P. and producer Joan Speirs recently joined actor Keith Bomphrey at Jason Plumb's Studio One recording studio in Regina to lay down tracks (that's hip musician talk) of off-camera dialogue for the upcoming broadcast and web campaign for Tourism Saskatchewan.
Java Post Production has been working on the new tourism campaign since last summer and the new 60-second broadcast commercials should roll out in the next few weeks.
The commercials were directed and photographed by the co-director/co-photographer duo of Greg Huszar and Derek Frankowski, and then edited at Java Post by Doug Russell.
Jack Tunnicliffe of Java Post handled the online editing, special visual FX and colour grading. Jack was also the pilot capturing all the aerial shots for the campaign with our "Javacopter" drone. Our own Trevor Bennett was the drone camera operator.
The entire project was overseen by Dustin Panko, Laila Haus, and David Bellerive of Phoenix Group.

Joan rocking the microphone, as only she can. We're not sure of the reason for the name tag. It's not like there were a lot of people in the studio. Maybe it's for the post-recording party, when all the hangers-on and groupies roll in. Yeah, that must be it.
Singer/songwriter/musician/audio producer extraordinaire Jason Plumb monitors the recording in the control room. Things must be going well, as he looks quite relaxed.
Joan and Jason in the control room. This is where the magic happens. Next up: Joan's guitar solo!
