Java Post Production is excited to be involved with the future of media production technology in Saskatchewan!

We are very pleased to announce that our friend and longtime collaborator, Stephen Hall, in conjunction with Creative Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Media Production Industry Association (SMPIA), and Volume Global, will be presenting two explainer sessions about LED Volume Stage technology in the film industry, including how this new technology is being utilized, and how you can become a part of it right here in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan is constructing a state-of-the-art LED Volume Stage at the John Hopkins Regina Soundstage. A relatively new technology, LED Volume Walls have been utilized in productions such as The Mandalorian and The Batman. (Click on the embedded links to view behind-the-scenes production videos.) The first  production scheduled to use the new LED Volume Stage in Saskatchewan is the "King of Killers" series.

Regina's own Java Post Production has been chosen to do aerial photography and post-production for "King of Killers," and Java Post is eager to be at the forefront of this new LED Volume Stage technology in Saskatchewan.

At this Explainer, you’ll learn how LED Volume Stages enable filmmakers to create scenes with CGI and real-time VFX, allowing them to film almost any scene imaginable, right here in Regina. The Explainer will feature a Q &A with Volume Global’s Chief Technology Officer, Dante Yore. He is also the Director of Photography for the "King of Killers."

Participants can expect to walk away with a basic understanding of the skills and background needed to work with this new technology, as well as access to film and TV production gateways for careers in the media production industry.
