Landing a UAS Drone. On a Little Boat. On a Big River. Because we can.

During a recent shoot for Tourism Saskatchewan north of La Ronge, our Java Post Aerial Photography crew was given a new challenge: launch and land our DJI S900 hexacopter UAS (unmanned aerial system, or "drone") from a small pontoon boat in the middle of the Churchill River.
Talk about no room for error. One slip of the control stick and we'd be fishing the river for more than just record-setting fish.
But, our Java Post Aerial Photography team made it look easy. And grabbed some cool selfie - or "dronie" - footage on the way down, too.
