Java Post Production is proud to have been one of only nine finalists in the feature film category at the 2024 Dehancer Colourist Awards!
Dehancer is film emulation software set of realistic film effects which gives digital videos and photos a truly cinematic look.
As stated by awards host Darren Mostyn, senior colourist and founder of Online Creative, a boutique colour grading facility in the United Kingdom: "The Dehancer Colourist Awards is an extraordinary celebration of colour artistry, celebrating the magic of colour grading, its creativity, its storytelling, and its unique ability to transform a vision into cinematic art."
The second-annual Dehancer Colourist Awards attracted 822 nominees from all around the world in six categories: Drone Video, Commercials, Music Video, Documentary, Short Film, and Feature Film.
Out of 31 world-wide nominees in the Feature Film category, Java Post Production was chosen as one of only nine finalists, for our own "Java Jack" Tunnicliffe's work as colourist on the Minds Eye Entertainment thriller "Die Alone." Java Post Production was the only Canadian finalist in the Feature Film category, with the other eight finalists representing India, USA, England, Pakistan, and Azerbaijan.

Written and directed by Lowell Dean with cinematography by Mark Dobrescu and starring Carrie-Anne Moss, Frank Grillo, Douglas Smith, Jonathan Cherry, and Kimberly-Sue Murray, "Die Alone" is the story of a world reclaimed by nature and overrun by mysterious creatures where Ethan (Douglas Smith), a young man with amnesia, navigates the dangerous landscape in search of his lost love Emma (Kimberly-Sue Murray). His journey takes an unexpected turn when he encounters Mae (Carrie-Anne Moss), a hardened and eccentric survivor. Together, Ethan and Mae face threats both human and otherwise before a fateful encounter with Kai (Frank Grillo) unravels a secret that lies just beyond Ethan’s fractured memory.
